So yesterday, my friend and I watched the movie If I Stay. I didn’t read the book but my friend said this movie was not as disappointing as what you would usually think of a movie adaptation (although she was disappointed about some really good lines that were omitted in the movie).
Anyhow, spoilers aside, I LOVED THE MOVIE! I was crying the whole time (a bit of an exaggeration but you get what I mean). But of all the original songs they wrote and showed in the movie, what I fell in love with the most is Heart Like Yours, which Adam wrote and sang for Mia at her bedside.
When I got home, I went straight to my room, picked up my guitar, searched for the chords and started listening to the whole song over and over. I then tried several times to get a whole cover recorded with minimal screw ups and this is what I came up with (it’s really bad when you don’t play the guitar for a while cause you lose your calluses and your fingers will just swell up, which is what happened in my case and made my already bad strumming even worse). But hey, I published the video–it is what it is. Time to buy a mic for that GoPro cam, though, now that I realize how bad it is after using it for a song cover for the first time.
